About Me

fanrgs
As a retired geological engineer with an interest in history and with a wife very interested in wildlife photography, we love taking RV trips through scenic, historic, and geologically-interesting regions. We do a variety of camping--RV resorts in winter; state parks throughout the West; National Park, Forest Service, BLM, Corps of Engineers, and Bureau of Reclamation campgrounds and dispersed areas on Federal land; and an occasional Walmart or Flying J parking lot for an 8-hour overnight next to an Interstate highway on our way to someplace else. Incidentally, our favorite state/provincial parks in North America were in New Mexico. But now they have doubled the $14/night for a site with electric and water hookups, free hot showers, and an RV dump, with the day pass for the park included in that cost. So, we will probably stay in city, county, and national campgrounds and boondock more in our solar-Li-inverter-generator-equipped Class C!
